Note: “On August 12, 1917, the SS Lynorta, a British cargo ship transporting coal from Glasgow to Livorno in Italy was torpedoed and sunk by a German U Boat off the north-west coast of Ireland. There were just two casualties, one being the ship’s chef 55-year-old Petrus Albertus Wouters.”
